Additional light might be required to sustain plant growth during low levels of light
conditions. LED stands for “Light Emitting Diode”. LED light can be used to produce
photosynthesis. This is an artificial light created to stimulate the growth of a plant. As a
result we get plants doing photosynthesis, as this “LED Grow Lights” creates an
electromagnetic spectrum.

LED lights provide a similar light spectrum than the sun. It can also create a specific
light spectrum according to the needs of the plant. Different colour temperatures,
ranges of spectrum and luminous efficacy are used according to the different types of
plant being cultivated and their stage of cultivation. The first stages of plant growth
require a blue spectrum of light, while the flowering stages require a red spectrum of
light. Depending on the size of the gap that is present between the electron chain, the
colour of the LED lights can be changed and satisfy these needs.

The use of LED light has more advantages compared to other types of lighting, it does
not damage the pant as it does not get hot. Another advantage is that it has a longer
lifespan.
