BUHAYNASAPA NHS AND TIPAS NHS
December 04, 2016

“Team Work will make Dream Work”

The common denominator for school progress is teamwork. This leads to many
productive and fecund upshots that benefited students and the school at large. In the
21st century world of teaching, everything has gone drastically. Whatever you may think
be applicable now may not be as effective as it was yesterday. This is a noteworthy turn
that needs to be addressed instantaneously so as to fulfill the ultimate goal of
education, literacy.

This year is a prodigious opportunity to share best practices in the field of what
we called “life itself”. The Buhaynasapa National High School as leader school and
Tipas National High School as partner school made this possible as they spearheaded
the last phase of school to school partnership for the betterment of both institutions. It
was conducted at Rosario Resorts and Hotel, Rosario, Batangas. The fundamental
discussion focused on pedagogy in education and Senior High School.
The program started with an audio-visual prayer. It was followed by the
hospitable message of the leader school principal, Mrs. Andrea Malapitan. She oriented
the faculty of the day’s flow of confab and expressed her gratitude about the coming
end of the partmership.
Mrs. Rochelle De los Reyes, Math Teacher of Buhaynasapa National High
School, shared the best practices in teaching Mathematics. She further emphasized the
different content and pedagogy to be used in preparing lessons. Some of these
approaches were the constructivist, integrative, reflective and collaborative. She also
reminded the teachers to always make the lesson delivery a dynamic and enthusiastic
one. After the thorough discussion, the teachers were grouped according to grade to
prepare a lesson plan incorporating the different approaches and strategies cited.
After a short break, the program resumed with the talk of Ms. Gretcel Lindog
about the pilot year of Buhaynasapa’s senior high school. She oriented the Tipas
Faculty about the status of their senior high school. She also shared the school’s
instructional and operational system. She highlighted that it was very important to have
the proper career guidance for the students to choose the appropriate track in senior
high school. Different questions were also raised concerning the tracks and strands to
be chosen by the students after completing junior high school.
Afterwards, an activity about making a senior high school proposal was carried
out.
The program became emblematic when each school had given the chance to
share their thoughts about the school to school partnership. Mrs. Melba Bagnes
represented Buhaynasapa National High School. She recounted countless praise and
gratitude to Tipas National High School for being cooperative and welcoming to all the
partnership sessions. She also treasured the meaningful relationship that both schools
had built for the sake of the learners. For Tipas National High School was Mrs. Marycris
Eugenio, she equally gave credits to Buhaynasapa National High School for a
worthwhile practices that they have extended. She also accepted the challenge of
bringing quality education to students inspired by the shared partnership of both
schools.
Mrs. Hazel Y. Manalo and Mrs. Andrea Malapitan. school head of the partner
school and leader school respectively, expressed their heartwarming gratification to all
the participants of the partnership who made everything possible and successful.
