It is called Association of Southeast Asia before it is called ASEAN

ASEAN Integration was established on August 08,1967

ASEAN is consist of 10 southeast member state +3 countries.

Philippines, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar,

Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam are the countries involved in
ASEAN community.

Japan, South Korea, and China are added in the ASEAN community
or the ASEAN (+3)

The five original member countries are Indonesia, Malaysia,

Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

ASEAN as a regional organization

ASEAN Integration was consist of 3 Pillars

3 Pillars of ASEAN Integration are Economic community, Political security

and Socio-Cultural community

Political Security as the important aspect on the ASEAN Integration

Economic Community as part of the 3 Pillars of ASEAN integration

ASEAN is working to standardize many financial regulations throughout the

economic community.

Prevent Rampancy, piracy, terrorism and drug trafficking.
