Position Name: Advisor Job Description: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. A minimum of fifteen (15) year experience in and good knowledge of chemical analysis techniques applied in refinery industry including minimum of (5) year experience in supervising position as senior chemist. Fluent in both spoken and written English and able to carry out field and laboratory fluid analyses. Should have sound practical experience and knowledge of the followings: 1. Leadership and administrative skills to supervise and co-ordinate all the activities related to laboratory fluid analyses. 2. Shall be fully conversant with API (American Petroleum Institute), ASTM (American Society for Testing And Materials), AWWA (American Water Works Association), NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers), ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and all other relevant standards utilized in the chemical analyses. 3. Understanding the full range of laboratory equipment and testing techniques and their proper applications to carry out chemical analyses of oil, gas and water in the refinery industry. 4. Formulating plans and working practices to execute the chemical analyses programs. 5. Developing Standard Operating Procedures for laboratory analytical activities. 6. Understand and comply with Company’s, national and international codes, regulations, reporting procedures, and standard practices. 7. Shall be able to follow all the technical and health, safety and environment requirements in the laboratories. 8. Preparation of comprehensive reports related the laboratory analytical activities, inventory management, and the laboratory equipment maintenance and calibrations. 9. Conducting formal training program as well as providing one-on-one training for undersigned Company’s and Contractor’s Staff by demonstrating the proper use of the various instruments and testing techniques required for laboratory analytical. 10. Preparation of laboratory’s expense and capital budget. 11. Must be computer literate and effluent English speaker and writer. 12. Shall have a valid Kuwaiti Driver’s License.
