To Whom It May Concern,

It is with great pleasure that I write this reference for Davina Stringer. I have had the privilege to
work with her for three years. Upon meeting Mrs. Stringer for the first time, I was impressed by her
professionalism and insight. After only a few weeks as a 4th grade teacher, I knew that she was a true
gem. A few months later when she became the assistant principal, Mrs. Stringer again demonstrated her
professionalism and insight.
Mrs. Stringer’s greatest strength is how she builds relationships with the different stakeholders
she encounters daily. First and foremost she is student focused. She gets to know each student and
works with the student, the family and the teacher to establish a learning plan for the child to thrive.
Mrs. Stringer is focused on student growth. She has created an RTI system for Knowles that has allowed
the teachers to collaborate with campus specialists regularly. She regularly coaches teachers by
providing guidance and feedback on curriculum, instruction and student growth.
The assistant principal role covers a wide range of duties. Mrs. Stringer is able to manage all of
the different duties. She effectively schedules her time to complete the administrative duties as well as
to be visible in classrooms on a regular basis. Mrs. Stringer has strong communication skills and is able
to convey difficult messages in a positive yet honest manner.
Mrs. Stringer may only have two and a half years’ experience as an administrator, but she is very
strong and intuitive. She has a deep understanding of best instructional practices as well as a big picture
view of the systems that must be established for a campus to run effectively. If given the chance as a
principal, she will create a culture focused on student learning and high achievement.
