DAY OF THE DEAD

Day of the dead takes place in Mexico ,Michoacán on November 1 and 2.


this is festival take place every year To remember a dead person ,
Usually, deceased children are honored on November 1, while adults are
honored on 2.

HOW TO CELEBRATE IT?


 Build an altar with the person's food and favorite items when
he or she was alive.

 Write a "skull", a short satirical poem in the form of epitaphs


about your friends. The more humorous the better. Be bored
of the habits or embarrassing moments of your friends.

 Visit the grave of your loved ones and clean it and decorate it
with offerings, such as "cempasúchitl" or "Flor de Muerto",
which are believed to attract the soul of the deceased

 Put pillows and sheets in your house so that the spirits can
rest after the trip.

 Make an offering meal. Leave it at home as a welcome. It is believed


that the deceased will eat the spiritual essence of food.

TIPS!
• Some people use shells and dance so that with the noise they
"wake up" the dead, and others dress as the deceased person.

• The figures of Catrina (a woman with a skeleton face) are very


popular decorative figures.

• Sometimes children dress up and ask people in the street for a


"little skull". Unlike Halloween, do not knock on the doors
