Library Research- teaching Activities

The article I found for the teaching methods is about integrating engineering to better enhance

elementary students’ knowledge in science classes. The issue in elementary science classes is that

students are not fully prepared for the STEM education that is becoming popular in Middle and High

School and in order to better prepare the students for the STEM related activities in the future, the

students and teachers in elementary school are encourage to use engineering robots that could improve

the science education experience for all. EV3 robots are being proposed as an effective solution for

students with absolutely no previous experience or knowledge about engineering to enhance not only

their knowledge but also their confidence in their science classes.

Robots are known to alleviate human life and even minimize death caused by heavy transportations

means that could be conducted by robots with no harm to human life. The teachers were encouraged to

participate and oversee the study. At the end, the results showed that both the students and the

teachers were all satisfied from incorporating the EV3 robots in the science classes in elementary

schools. During this process, various engineering practices would be obtained by students as a result of

adapting this idea into their teaching methods.
