PDMS COMMADS & SYNTAXES:

PIPING DESIGN:

1. AXES_AT_CE: TO VERIFY THE DIRECTION COMP.


2. BY U_500mm: or ANY DIRECTION & DESIRED VALUE IN ORDER TO MOVE
SITE, ZONE, STRU, PIPE…ETC.
3. Q_POS: TO VERIFY THE POSITION OF ANY ITEM e.g. SIT, ZON, EQUI, ETC.
but some of the item are not having an attribute position.
4. Q_ATT: TO VERIFY (QUERY) THE ATTRIBUTES OF ANY ITEM.
5. ALP_REQ_CLEAR: TO CLEAR THE COMMAND WINDOW.
6. NEW (ITEM) _COPY_PRE_BY_ (DIST & DIR) _WRT_/*: TO CREATE AN ITEM
WHICH IS CLONE OF PREVIOUS OBJECT (CE) AT A DISTANCE &
DIRECTION. E.g. Equip, Stru, zone, etc.
7. Q_POS_ID, IDP, and IDPL @: TO VERIFY THE POSITION AT A PERTICULAR
ITEM, POINT, and PLINE.
8. Q_SPRE: TO QUERY THE SPECIFICATION REFERENCE OF COMP.
9. Q_NAME: To & change the name of any item.
10. ROTATE_BY_X*_ABOUT_U_THR_ID, IDP, IDPL@: To rotate the element by an
x angle at a particular direction on a particular item, point, pline or with respect to
element origin.
11. Q_ORI: It shows the orientation of the any item but some of the items are not having
an attribute orientation.
12. AXES_AT_PH: this command is used to place the axes at head position.
13. AXES_AT_PT: this command is used to place the axes at tail position.

BRANCH LEVEL COMMANDS:

14. Q_HCON: To verify Head connection type. E.g. bwd, open, close, etc.
15. Q_TCON: To verify Tail connection type. E.g. bwd, open, close, etc.
16. Q_HDIR: To verify the direction of the head.
17. Q_TDIR: To verify the direction of the tail.
18. Q_HPOS: To verify the position of the head.
19. Q_TPOS: To verify the position of the tail.
20. Q_HBOR: To verify the nominal bore (NB) of the head in mm.
21. Q_TBOR: To verify the nominal bore (NB) of the tail in mm.
22. Q_PSPEC: To verify the pipe specification, branch default spec.
23. Q_ISPEC: To verify the pipe insulation specification.
24. Q_TEMP: To check & change the temperature of the branch.
25. Q_INSUL: To check & change the insulation thickness of pipe, branch.
26. Q_HSTU: To check the attributes of head side tube of branch.
27. MOVE_PH (PT) _BY_ (DIR) _ (DIST) _WRT_/*: To move the head position or tail
position in a direction opposite to the head or tail.

COMPONENT LEVEL COMMANDS:


28. Q_ABOR: To check the arrive bore of the component.
29. Q_LBOR: To check the leave bore of the component.
30. Q_SPRE: To check the specification reference of the components.
31. Q_DTXR: This is a command used to check the detail text reference of any
components.
32. Q_PA: To check the arrive point of comp e.g. p1 is the arrive point of elb.
33. Q_PL: To check the leave point of comp.e.g.p2 id the leave point of elb.
34. Q_ABOP: Used to check arrive bottom of pipe of the comp.
35. Q_LBOP: Used to check leave bottom of pipe of the comp.
36. Q_LSTU: To check the attributes of leave side tube of the comp.
37. Q_CREF: Connection reference for nozzle.
38. ADD_CREF: To add reference pipe for nozzle.
39. Q_P1BOR: To check the nozzle bore or any pcomp bore.
40. Q_PARA: To check the nozzle bore & connection type or check the design parameters
for pcomps.
41. Q_HREF: it gives the item (comp) Name connecting to parent branch head.
42. Q_TREF: it gives the item (comp) Name connecting to parent branch tail.
43. Q_LTLEN: To check the leave tube length of component (tube extended after the comp
(CE)).
44. Q_ATLEN: To check the arrive tube length of component (tube extended from the
previous component to Ce).
45. Q_DESP: To check and change the design parameters of any component.

GENERAL COMMANDS:

1. F1: HELP
2. F2: ZOOM
3. F3: PAN
4. F4: PERSPECTIVE
5. F5: ROTATE
6. F6: WALK
7. F7: EYE
8. F8: SHADE/WIREFRAME
9. F9: BORDER

10. Q_ATT: To verify the attributes of any item like pcom, sctn, equip, zon & sit, etc.
11. Q_AT: To check the position of any comp, hierarchy of any level, but not applicable
for some of items like FRMW, SBFR, ETC.
12. Q_POS_ID, IDP, IDPL_@: To check the pos of comp at a particular point or pline or
by its origin.
13. BRA_CONN_PH_TO_FIR_MEM: When in forwards mode & head is
opened to atmosphere.
14. BRA_CONN_PT_TO_LAS_MEM: When in forwards mode & tail is
opened to atmosphere.
15. BRA_CONN_PH_TO_ID, IDP_@: To conn branch head to any other
item like tee, flange, elbow, etc.
16. BRA_CONN_PT_TO_ID, IDP_@: To conn branch tail to any other
item like tee, flange, elbow, etc.
17. BRA_CONN_PH_TO_PT_OF_ID@: To conn branch head to tail of other
adjacent branch it may same pipe or different pipe.
18. BRA_CONN_PH_TO_PT_OF_ID@: To conn branch tail to head of other
adjacent branch it may same pipe or different pipe.
19. Q_NAM: To name any item like any sit, zon, stru, equip, inst, pipe, etc.
20. Q_CUTLEN: To know the total cut length of the section.
21. Q_DERLEN: To know the total derived length of the section(same as
Cutlen command).
22. SAVEWORK: To save the process we done before.
23. Q_IDP@: To check the attributes of a particular point of a component for
example tee has three points’ p1, p2 & p3.
24. VAR_1_NAM: It’s like the copy or move command. To copy item NEW_ (ITEM)
_COPY_$V1, to move item INCL_$V1 in this case before moving the item we must
keep item current element as we need include into that hierarchy.
25. CONN_NEX: It connects ce with previous item & makes next item as ce.
26. NEX_CONN: Connect the next item with the current element.
27. NEX_THR_CE: Aligns the next component with current element.
28. THR_NEX: Align the current element with the next component.
29. PRE_THR_CE: Aligns the previous component with current element.
30. THR_PRE: Align the current element with the previous component.
31. THR_ID,IDP,&IDPL @: Aligns the CE with the identified component, point or pline.
32. Q_MAP: To see & to know about different databases.
33. Q_LAS: To know the name of last member of that particular hierarchy.
34. LAS: It switches to the last member (item) of the hierarchy.
35. Q_FIR: To know the name of first member of that particular hierarchy.
36. FIR: It switches to the first member (item) of the hierarchy.
37. 1SEL: It selects the first item of the branch, pipe, zone, site, world.
38. FIR5: It selects the first fifth of the same hierarchy.
39. LAS5: It select from the last fifth of the same hierarchy.
40. Q_OWN: It gives the owner name.
41. OWN: It goes to its higher level that is to its owner.
42. PRE: It goes to the previous item at any level.
42. NEX: It goes to the next item at any level.
43. FOR: It makes the creation mode forwards.
44. BAC: It makes the creation mode backwards.
45. PLAN_THR_PT: To move an item through tail position at a derived direction.
46. PLAN_THR_NEX: To move an item through position of next component to the
direction of next component from CE.
47. MOV_ (DIR) _THR_ID@ or MOV_THR_ID@: Move the item through item pick
with respect to picked item direction.
48. NEW_ (ITEM) _COPY_PRE_REN_(PRE ITEM NAME)_(NEW
NAME)_BY_(DIR)_WRT_/*: This is used to copy a pipe with same name with small
change in name, but not only for the pipe also for other items which have more
subdivisions like STRU have many FRMWs, many SUBSs, SBFRs, etc.
49. NEW_ (ITEM) _COPY_PRE_MOV_THR_PT, PH, ID, IDP, IDPL@: This is used to
copy the previous item at the same time to move the copied item with respect to the
identified point of direction or through the tail position or head position .
50. NEW_(ITEM)_CHOO_ALL_MOV_THR_ID@: This is used to create new item by
choosing all items from table at the same time move the item with respect to the
identified point of direction.
51. CHOO_ALL_MOV_THR_ID@: This is used to reselect the item at the same time
move the item to a particular direction of pick.
52. Q_MDB: To verify the MDB.

53. MDB_NOUPD:

/XXX (MDB NAME)


/USER NAME/PASSWORD

To change the MDB without switching to monitor.

PDMS DRAFT COMMANDS & SYNTAXES:


01. Q_UCODE: To change the code (units) from other to millimeters to
change the dimension style into mm. it should be done on the particular
dim layer level.
02. Q_TPEN: To check & change the text color of the GLAB.
03. Q_LLPEN: To check & change the color of the leader line of the GLAB.
04. Q_LFPEN: To check & change the color of the frame line of the GLAB.
05. Q_BTEXT: To check & change the text content of the GLAB.
06. Q_ADEG: To check & change the degree orientation of the BTEXT.
07. Q_ALIG: To change the alignment of the BTEXT, BOTTOM, CENTRE.
08. Q_JUST: To change the justification of the btext, left, right, centre.
09. Q_LVISIBILITY: To check & change the layer visibility to make ON or OFF.
10. Q_LTER: To check & change the line terminator off, arrow, dot.
11. Q_LLEA: To check & change the leader line true or false.
12. DDNAME_ID@: To make a label reference as specified.
13. Q_XYPO: To change the position of the origin where the text & leader line mets.
14. Q_APOF: To change the attachment point offset position.
15. Q_CPOF: To change the connection point offset position.
16. Q_BMAR: To change the base text area to occupy the space.
17. Q_GAPS: To check & to adjust the position & number of gaps created.
18. Q_LLCL: To check & adjust the leader line clearance of attachment point ie.’0’.
19. Q_LSPA: To check & adjust the text line spacing with leader line in vertical or
horizontal direction depends on the angle (ADEG) of the text.
20. Q_CSPA: To check & adjust the character spacing of btext.
