TEDDY BEAR CARE 1-4 PM

MON:
9-9:30: Introductions!
• Name games.
• If I were a doctor, I would call myself Doctor ________.
• Name gesture. Each child does a gesture and introduces themselves, and then the
rest of the group copies.
• Pass some object (pirate themed?) and say name of person you’re passing to.

• Rules! Make a list, and go over important ones like don’t touch the mirrors!

9:30-9:55: Make our Own Stethoscope:


• Craft! Need headbands, white ribbon, grey felt/construction paper
• NEED WHITE RIBBON, GREY FELT

9:55-10:20: Storytime:

10:20-10:35: Getting to Know Your Patients


• Switch Places If

10:35-10:55: Dr. Octopus Tag:


• ampers run from one side of the field or court to the other. If they are tagged by
the octopus they sit down are are out until tagged by the doctor. The game ends
when everyone is tagged, including the doctor.

10:55-11:20: Making Our “First Aid Kits”:


• Black construction paper with red and white. Inside: cotton ball, qtips, bandaid.
• NEED BANDAIDS, BLACK CONSTRUCTION PAPER

11:20-11:35: Laughter is the Best Medicine:


• All kids are “patients” except one doctor. eyes closed, no moving or smiling.
doctor has to make them smile/laugh/move:

11:35-11:50: Outside time-tracing each other and drawing “patients”:

• Split into Pairs, fill out “check up” sheet.

• Two kids tag. When tagged, have to sit silently on ground until given one of the
“safe objects”, or medicine.

10:40-11:05: X Ray Craft:


• White Crayons, Black Construction Paper, Qtips, Glue
• NEED BLACK CONSTRUCTION PAPER

11:05-11:20: Secret Doctor:


• follow the leader, someone leaves and has to guess who it is

11:20-11:40: Coffee Filter Hearts:


• Color with reds and purples and pinks and blues, then spray with water.

11:40-11:55: Frogger:

9:20-9:45: Smile Activity:


• Cut out two mouths, glue together, and glue lots of little teeth on.
• In folder.
• CUT OUT MOUTHS

9:45-10: Don’t Show Your Teeth!:


• Pterodactyl. Go around circle & say pterodactyl without laughing, squawk to
change direction

10-10:20: Hot Potato Smile Game:


• If the music stops when you have the item, you have to pick a partner and do
whatever you can to make them smile.

10:20-10:40: Toothbrush craft:


• popsicle sticks (tongue depressors), color them with mark, and cut up paper on
one side and glued on for bristles

10:35-10:55: Dentist Story:

10:55-11:20: Tooth Fairy Tag:


• Everyone is “sleeping”, and one person is toothfairy, and tags someone to be it.
Everyone wakes up, and tries to not be tagged/figure out who it is without being
tagged/back asleep.

11:20-11:35: Coloring Sheets

• Afterwards, share with class, and talk about what we like about each other

• One person stands in front of the group and shares a fact about themselves, like
their favorite color or favorite animal. Everyone who also shares that favorite
thing stands up and yells, “That’s me!”

10:30-10:45: Telephone:
• Silly, fun game.

10:45-11:10: Feelings Paper Chain:


• Everyone gets 5 different colors of paper (based on inside out, i think), and writes
something on each that makes them feel that way. We staple them into a big
paper chain.

11:10-11:40: Go Outside and Draw Things That Make Us Happy:


• Description

11:40-11:55: Teamwork(blob) tag:


• Two people are holding hands or linking arms, and tag people with their free
hands who join the blob.

• Draw one Salty thing, sweet thing, bitter thing, and sour thing. Draw something
that smells good, and smells bad.

10:35-10:50: Touch:
• Fill balloons with different things before hand, and have them touch them all and
guess what it is in them.
