Sikkim Manipal University has come a long way from the launch of the
site of the Technology Enabled Learning (TeL) portal on the 4 th
September, 2008 to the publication of the first e-bulletin exclusively on
Edunxt (then TeL portal) - EduNxt News.

EduNxt News is a unique endeavour from the part of the e-Learning

Department of the Sikkim Manipal University – Directorate of Distance
Education in order to give visibility to all activities on Edunxt to the
stakeholders of the Sikkim Manipal University – DDE. This fortnightly
bulletin will give light on the updates in the Edunxt resources, new events
organized on Edunxt time to time as well as any new feature coming in
the Edunxt portal.

EduNxt News marks the dawn of a new era in SMU Way of Distance
Education!!!!

Mentor chat support is meant for –

members, LC faculty members as well as SMU Students

The e-Learning department organizes training and certification program
on e-learning time to time for faculty members of different departments
(Information Technology, Management & Commerce, Vocational Sciences
as well as Allied Health Sciences) of the Sikkim Manipal University and
also the faculty members of the 700+ Learning Centres of SMU spread all
over India. Training the LC faculty members on e-learning is a regular
monthly affair and presently there are two levels of certification programs
being organized by the e-Learning department of Sikkim Manipal
University.

 Level 1 Training is on Fundamental Concepts on Edunxt Portal and
