There are two entry routes for the 3-Year UK Bachelor’s Degree Programmes (Studying in HK).
Route i) Have five subjects at HKDSE Level 3 or above, including English)*
Route ii) Have five subjects at HKDSE Level 2, including English. Students admitted via this route will be required to take
a “Diploma in International Degree Foundation” prior to admission to the degree programme.
Please note that other equivalent qualifications in addition to HKDSE will also be considered for admission.

*In Year 2018/19, route i) will be updated to a total score of 15 in the best five subjects, including English Language at
level 3 and no subject at level 1 or equivalent.

The minimum general entrance requirements for sub-degree programmes are five subjects at Level 2 or above (including
Chinese Language and English Language) in the HKDSE Examination or equivalent.

Notes:
1. For HKDSE Examination candidates applying for the 4-year undergraduate programmes, the minimum general entrance
requirements are Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language, and Level 2 or above in Mathematics
(Compulsory Part) and Liberal Studies (i.e. “3322”). Apart from the four core subjects, individual institutions may also
specify the entrance requirements for individual faculties / programmes as well as other admission requirements. At
present, institutions generally require applicants to have attained Level 2 or 3 in one or two elective subjects.

The minimum general entrance requirements for sub-degree programmes are five subjects at Level 2 or above (including
Chinese Language and English Language) in the HKDSE Examination or equivalent.

2. The total HKDSE scores is calculated from the sum of the best five subjects including Chinese Language and English
Language obtained by applicants admitted to respective study programmes. The calculation of total scores using
Common Scoring System is as follows:
