Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Brainpop has audio and closed caption capabilities. It has a question &
answer section with quizzes that help a student remember and apply.
Lesson idea implementation: Students will be learning about ratios and proportions by watching a video,
answering a quiz, and playing some games. The lesson will be introduced with an introductory video. It will
take 50 minutes to complete the whole lesson. Students will be assessed by answering a quiz at the end of
the video.
Brainpop is a way to inform a student of a new concept through videos, quizzes, and games. It will help a
student gain knowledge in the area of ratio and proportions. The quizzes will provide feedback to students
about their understanding of ratio and proportions.

Reflective Practice: I feel that brainpop is a way to make math fun. The videos are short and sweet but
informational. The quizzes are a great way for a student to receive feedback on his or her understanding of

the concept. I would also like to create additional drill and practice software because it is a fast and easy way
for a teacher and student know if the concept is understood. There is a plethora of software available to help
a student understand ratio and proportions.
