New York

New York is the most populous city in the United States and the center of the New York
metropolitan area,which is one of the most populous urban areas in the world , called the
heart of America.

The city is divided in five areas: The Bronx , Brooklyn , Manhattan ,

Queens and Staten Island . Much of New York is built on a three islands of Manhattan ,
Staten Island and Long Island , making land scarce and encouraging a higt population
density . The New York population is estimate at 8,3 milion people.

In 1789,George Washington was declared the first president of America,at Federal Hall
an Wall Street.

Empire State Building was finsh in 1931 , am extraordinary creation , becoming symbol
of the city . The building have 102 floors and 440 m height . He had 72 high speed lifts
which can reach top floor in 50 seconds. But the big monster was deposed by the World
Trade Center , the last having two twin towers , wich 110 floors and 412 m hight .

The most famous street is Broodway,called The Great Writeway,because of special

lighting during the night.

The symbol of this city is Statue of Liberty ,located on Bedloe island. The components
have been brought from Paris , and the ( torta ) cake is made of rubinie glass and have
bulbs by 13000 W.

New York is a shoppers paradise. But New York is much more that shopping. It’s a city
of landmarks :Rochefeler Central with its Beautiful art deco architecture ; Grand Central
Terminal,The New York Stock Exchange .

In New York you will find some of the worlds greatest museums and cultural centers :
The Julliard School of Music,The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

New York food culture it is influenced by the immigrants . European and italian
immigrants have made the city famous for bagels,cheesecake and New York style pizza.

In New York there are street food where it is sold folafels and kebabs originl from Egypt
and hot dog.
