Dear Dr. Murase. I am leading a group of university students in La Paz, Bolivia.

I
have studied for about 6 years in Tohoku University. My major is civil engineering
(water resources). Because of that, I feel very motivated with the possiblitity to
show my students the experience of Japan in solving water related issues.

The last year, our city (about 2 million inhabitant) has faced a difficult
situation regarding water shortage. We are looking towards rainwater harvesting as
a contribution to the urban water management challenge. We are investigating
experiences in the world and we read about your work.

I would like to ask you, please, if you would be interested in exchanging some
ideas with my students and myself, perhaps through Skype. My expectation is that
maybe in the near future, it would be possible to start collaboration between your
Institute for Rainwater Harvesting and my university. We would be interested in
improving our technical knowledge but also we are interested in learning about the
experiences you had abroad, in order to promote a rainwater harvesting culture.
