• 1.2 million people dead annually
• > 3000 people dead every day
• 137 people dead every hour
• 2 persons dead every minute

• Better HSE record than 2006
– Oman: 253 deaths, 3011 injuries in 4035
crashes (Jan. 1 to May 25)
– PDO: 0 fatality, 27 LTI (Jan. 1 to June 1)
