GMI Summer 2018 MT1 Project
GMI Summer 2018 MT1 Project
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Deadline: Week 11, Tuesday, 24 July 6pm. Feedback will be shared with you and you
will present your project in week 12.
Guidelines
Create different sections of your project using instruments of choice. Mark these
sections using the arrangement track. You can build on your arrangement by
duplicating or re- arranging the sections. Add more layers to various sections
using software instruments or by recording a live musician using the audio
interface. You may also add loops from the loop library. While recording make
sure, the levels aren’t too soft or too loud that they clip. In addition, as you add
more tracks keep an eye on the volume levels of each individual track and the
master track as well.
Mixing
Start off by adjusting volume levels and pan settings of each track to place them
into the mix. Apply EQ, compression and additional FX if needed (optional). Draw
volume automation to create dynamics on individual tracks and between different
sections of your project. Your master track should be on 0dB and not clipping.
