Content Standard Addressed: MGSE9-12.G.CO.5 Given a geometric figure and a rotation, reflection, or
translation, draw the transformed figure using, e.g., graph paper, tracing paper, or geometry software.
Specify a sequence of transformations that will carry a given figure onto another.
Technology Standard Addressed: 6 Creative Communicator. Students will use their creative side to present
their own lesson on Geometric Transformations. Students will write, produce their own movies describing
and presenting a lesson on geometric transformations.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): UDL can be used through out this project. Transcripts can be added.
Closed captioning and subtitles can be used to for students with hearing impairments and ESL
Lesson idea implementation Students will be given project based on what they have learned about
Geometric Transformations. Students will create place into groups of 3-4 students. They will create a 5
minute movie on Geometric Transformations. They will be evaluated on accuracy, depth of understanding,
and creativity. The videos will be payed in class and students will have the opportunity to evaluate and
critique classmates work. This will allow the teacher to understand how in depth their understanding of
transformations. Feedback will provided via a rubric.
Reflective Practice: This would be a final activity for the lesson or at the end of the year. It would allow
students to use their creative side as well as their knowledge of transformations. Working with in groups and
watching other students will deepen the understanding of the topic.
