Hamlet talks to the spirit of his dead father, who tells him that the present King Claudius

is the
man who killed him with a few drops of poison in the ear. The ghost of King Hamlet tells
Hamlet to avenge him and nods. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern arrive, two college friends and
Horatio.Hamlet Hamlet decides to invent a play in which a king is murdered in the same way
that Claudius killed his father (poison in the ear). Thus, when the royal court sees it, Hamlet
