 Pictorial Charts to be displayed in CWC office
 Behavioural change and to be more child friendly
 Trainings to Line Depts. on Child Friendly procedures (Labour, Education, Health,
ICDS, Police etc.)
 Media/ publicity on Child friendly
 Establishment of child friendly Homes
 Awareness creation on child friendliness

Ambience (Environment)
 Ambience/ Environment was defined to include everything (physical, non-physical) for
child friendly, that is physical infrastructure, attitude
 members should accept that a child is a child.
 Environment should be like home. Physical Environment: Location, rooms and
ventilation, separate counselling room
 Non-physical Environment (Gestures): Receiving, Acceptance, Non-judgmental
attitude, Listening to the child
Attitude Staff
 Positive
 Friendly
 Make the child feel safe and comfortable
 Empathetic
 Transparent
 Problem-solving
 Child-centric
 Readiness
 Coordination, cooperation
 Maintain confidentiality
 Respecting ethical- moral-cultural values
 Understanding child psychology

 Give dignity and respect to the child

Infrastructure
 Premises should be structured in a child friendly manner.
 Staff should be qualified and sufficient.
 Should be in good coordination and convergence.
 Recreation facilities should be available for children.
Procedure
 Committed attitude and child friendly
 Having knowledge of Acts and other Acts.
 Efforts to get proper and adequate information regarding the child.
 Being child friendly while interviewing the child.
 Determining the safety of the child
 Procedure should ensure safe custody.
 Appointing the social worker/ support person for CSA cases.
 Justice restoration
 Do essential follow up.
