Post Description:
The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and support services that allow for the care
and maintenance of NATO facilities and infrastructure supporting the mission of HQ RS and
sustainment of a base population.

Principle Duties:
Leads a team responsible for the general administration, customer service and asset tracking that
allows the efficient operations of Infrastructure Management Section
Responsible for developing and maintenance of the organization systems used in the office in
accordance with applicable NATO standards
Oversees the processing of customer work order requests by telephone, in person, and by electronic
means
Provides direction to the dispatcher for handling of urgent and emergency work calls
Coordinates with the Superintendent of Operations for guidelines to determine work order categories, links
construction projects and work orders
Establishes and maintains CIS property accounting
Assists with the organization of facility as-built drawings and O&M manuals
Responsible for coordinating effective communication systems for use by Infrastructure
Management Section: radio, telephone and computer
Coordinates with Fire Department regarding their record keeping system, providing advice for
compliance with NATO standards
Responsible for production of reports and returns
Acting as the Property Disposal Officer for HQ RS; Infrastructure Management Section CIS POC and the
Branch Document Control Officer (BDCO)
Acting as the Infrastructure Management Section Terminal Area Security Officer (TASO)
Acting as the Infrastructure Management Section Telecom Control Officer
Acting as a Content Manager for Infrastructure Management Section web page

Additional Duties:
The employee may be required to perform a similar range of duties elsewhere within the organization
at the same grade without there being any change to the contract
Acting as spokesperson for Chief Engineer during absences on BSG Staff Meetings
Acting as the alternate Infrastructure Management Section Resources Manager during absences of the
incumbent.

Essential Qualifications:

Professional/Experience
At least seven years’ experience working in the professional field of business administration or
facility management with experience in managing a budget
Practical experience with office automation software packages, to include word processing,
databases, spreadsheet and presentation software applications
Advance knowledge of FinS( Financial System Program)
Valid category "B" driving license
Ability to analyse work requirements related to the various tasking's and to memorize related
information and details

Education/Training
Completion of Secondary Education and Certified in business administration, facility management and I or
logistics
Advanced qualifications in Excel, Access, Word, Power Point and Fins
Higher Secondary education and completed higher vocational training leading to a formal technical or
professional certification with 3 years function related experience or a Secondary education and completed
advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 5
years post related experience

Language
English: Good level of written and spoken language skills.
NOTE: The work both oral and written in this post and in this Headquarters as a whole is conducted
mainly in English.

Desirable Qualifications:

Professional/Experience
Previous experience working with NATO I international personnel and/or administrative
procedures
Previous experience working with a large international organization
Advance knowledge of material management in the field, including supply and other utility
services practice, would be an asset
Basic and/or Advance accounting or fiscal/budgetary courses
Customer service training
Advance training and experience in Bi-Strategic Command Automated Information System (Bi-
SC AIS) Financial Services (FinS) and in using personal computers and software packages

Education/Training
University degree in Business Administration, Facility Management or related field

Excellent organisational, coordinating and interpersonal skills
Customer service oriented, including conflict resolution skills
Communication and writing skills
Well-organized, reliable, methodical and with analytical skills in summarizing large amount of
data
Regular professional contacts with others inside and/or outside immediate organisation on

Work involves the provision of information or analysis of part of a task assisting others to take
action within the organisation

Supervises the Customer Service function for Infrastructure Management Section.

Work Environment
The work is normally performed in a Normal NATO office working environment / secure office
environment with artificial light and air (e.g. Bunker).

Benefit Package:
Monthly salary of € 5,823.00 (Tax free in the host country).
Daily Allowance of € 84.68 while working in Afghanistan.
Installation allowance of ½ initial monthly basic salary.
Start and End of Contract paid transportation from residence to theatre and return.
Two days of annual leave per month.
7 days "Leave from Theatre" plus reimbursement of travel expenses up to 1000 Euro for every 6
months spent in Theatre.
Medical Insurance from Cigna (including death and disability coverage), small fee charged plus 50%
of monthly premium covered by RS HQ.
Free accommodation in the camp.
Meals of good/reasonable quality available to purchase.
Laundry is at a nominal charge through the contracted laundry company.
Clothing Allowance of 400 Euro per year.
Medical and Immunization package prior to deployment.
