Students have to prepare their Practical journals of Chemistry for Laboratory work
and they have to submit certified journals in the University practical exams. Students
are not allowed in the laboratory without certified journals in the University
practical examination. Time duration of Practical examination is 12.00 Hours (4
Sessions of Three Hours).

Gravimetric analysis With interfering as cu2+ & Fe3+ ions: Ni as Ni(DMG)2 and Ba as BaSO4

Organic Estimation Estimation of the following functional groups/Compounds:


Amide, Amine, Phenol and Glucose (by bromination method)

Physical exercises Exercise based on analytical instruments :


1. Determination of cell constant, and determination of
dissociation constant of weak acid (acetic acid) by
conductometry.
2. Determination of solubility and solubility-product of given
sparingly soluble salt by conductometry.
3. Determination of degree of hydrolysis of given salt (ammonium
chloride) from its given standard solution by
pH-metry.
4. Determination of viscosity of pure liquids A and B, and their
different percentage compositions and determination of
composition of unknown mixture of A and B.
5. Study of inversion of sucrose in presence of 1N HCl and
determination of the order of the reaction by polarimeter.
6. Determination of amount of Ni+2 ion in given solution by
colorimeter.
7. Determination of strength of FeSO4 (NH4)2SO4 6H2O solution
using standard K2Cr2O7 solution by potentiometric method.
8. Chromatographic separation of metal ions – Cu2+ , Ni2+ and Co2+
etc.

Students have to prepare their Practical journals of Chemistry for Laboratory work and they have to
submit certified journals in the University practical exams. Students are not allowed in the
laboratory without certified journals in the University practical examination. Time duration of
Practical examination is 12.00 Hours (4 Sessions of Three Hours).

Inorganic qualitative Inorganic qualitative analysis of mixture containing six radicals. 180
analysis (simple mixture + PO43- Soluble & insoluble) BO33-,CrO42-,Cr2O72-
(Min. 12 mixtures)
Gravimetric analysis With interfering ions: Fe as Fe2O3 and Al as Al2O3 .

Volumetric Analysis Estimation of Bi3+, Cu2+, Mg2+ and Fe3+ by EDTA method.
Physical exercises Exercise based on analytical instruments :
1. Determination of cell constant, and determination of
dissociation constant of weak acid (acetic acid) by
conductometry.
2. Determination of solubility and solubility-product of given
sparingly soluble salt by conductometry.
3. Determination of degree of hydrolysis of given salt (ammonium
chloride) from its given standard solution by
pH-metry.
4. Determination of viscosity of pure liquids A and B, and their
different percentage compositions and determination of
composition of unknown mixture of A and B.
5. Study of inversion of sucrose in presence of 1N HCl and
determination of the order of the reaction by polarimeter.
6. Determination of amount of Ni+2 ion in given solution by
colorimeter.
7. Determination of strength of FeSO4 (NH4)2SO4 6H2O solution
using standard K2Cr2O7 solution by potentiometric method.
8. Chromatographic separation of the following metal ions:
Cu2+ , Ni2+ and Co2+ etc.
