CAREER SUMMARY

Job Description
Cathodic Protection (CP)
To perform soil resitivity survey to calculate the current requirement for cathodic protection.
To supervise the installation, and commisioning of cathodic Protection system both Impressed
Current Cathodic Protection(ICCP) and Sacrificial Cathodic Protection(SCP) System.
Measure Struture to Soil potential readings for monitoring cathodic protection system
effectiveness.
Troubleshooting of Thermo Electric Generators, Transformer Rectifiers, Anode Junction Boxes
(AJB), Current Control Box(CCB).
To perform Line Location survey, DCVG and CIP surveys to check the coating integrity and CP
current drainage.
To carry out coating repairs based on survey results.
Determining and mitigating the stray current effects.
Installation of new test posts with Cadweld or Bronze weld equipment.
To inspect the internal Cathodic Protection System for Tanks and Vessels during normal routine
and during Anuual Turn Around (ATA) for any rectification if required.
Maintaining records and troubleshooting history from periodic inspections in the form of
comprehensive reports to undertand the corrosion trends and identify critical areas which
require more attention.

To train and supervise junior staff and technicians.
Electrical Design
Electrical Design includes Site survey, Supervision and analysis of technical requirement and
coordination with end user / Client to establish basic and detailed design criteria.
Preparation of Electrical design drawings / layouts including Power generation, distribution
systems, cable selection and sizing, switchgear panels, Lighting system, Earthing system, Fire
alarm System, Hazardous area classifications etc. along with preparation of BOQs, Specifications,
Datasheets, Load list, Bid Evaluation and Cost estimation, etc.
Risk Based Inspection / Reliability Centered Maintenace
Identification of applicable failure modes and classification as Critical, Degraded and Incipient.
Identification of Failure rates, Causes and Maintainable items by referring to Offshore Reliability
Data Hand Book (OREDA).
Development of maintenance strategy decision based on failure records and RCM analysis
results.
Recommendations to mitigate failure, risk and to enhance reliability.
Prioritize maintenance on predictive and preventive nature based on criticality of each
equipment.

Project Scope: Rehabilitation of Cathodic Protection (CP) of 400M 72 inch dia pipeline.
Role:
Cathodic protection design review of pipeline.
Commisioning of TR unit.
DCVG survey to inspect coating condition of pipeline.
Soil resitivity measurments.
Finding the Anode beds locations and condition.
Measurements of potential levels at different CP points.
Preparing an Inspection Report submitted to client with findings and recommendations to
control corrosion and current requrements of structure.

Role:
Project Mangament and Hazards (Physical, Chemical, Biological, Electrical, Psychological and
Ergonomics) Identification, Risk Assessment at the workplace and suggested appropriate and cost
effective control. Deep consideration of the safety management system after the audit and suggesting
the space for review, Organizing and planning of Health and Safety Management System. Guided and
advised the licensees during audits for rectifications of safety violations and compliance with the
Standard Code of Practice(Pakistan CNG Act 1992) as well as recommend measures for safe operation
of the CNG facility. Prepared a report of findings and prioritised recommendations to the authority.
Based on the findings, draw conclusions for promoting positive/negative health and safety culture.

Project Scope: Development of RBI Based Dead Legs Management
System and Surveys for Habshan, Bab, Bu Hasa & Ruwais Pipelines.
Role:
Development of RBI based Dead legs management system in accordance with API 571 (Damage
Mechanisms) and API 581 (Risk based Inspection) for GASCO (Habshan-1 Pipelines).
To carry out semi Quantitative RBI planning indicating dominant damage mechanisms, of f
stream/on stream inspection interval, overall probability of failure and overall consequence of
failure and overall risk ranking against each piping tag.
To develop corrosion loops and piping circuits to perform criticality assessment.
To complete these RBI assessments that shall include criticality analysis and inspection plan for
all facilities equipment
