Company Profile - Aquadines Bureau
Background
Formerly a partnership in 2004, Aquadines Bureau started as a Food and
Agriculture business and research entrepreneurship between Stephen Kaganda
(Ag. Eng.) and Don Feil (FST).
Original idea was to exploit and develop the consumption of non-local high
nutrient value food items especially sea foods and home-grown, semi-
preserved/processed foods, well packaged and preserved for a far and exotic
market.
Our Interests:
We have particular interest in Organic and environmentally friendly food items
and products. We have also acquired over 300 acres of land to raise specialty
products. We also train surrounding local populations as out growers to adopt our
specialty crops and similar practices to boost seasonal production hence meet our
regional and overseas market demands.
Our pioneer areas for these developments are Mukono, Entebbe and Masaka at
Kasaka for shore-line agriculture touching Lake Nabugabo and Mityana Road at
Kwata Village.
We have greater plans of building a modern agricultural farm school to
particularly develop these ideals at our vast Kasaka farm land.
Our goal:
To become leaders in supplies of our chosen specialty branded organic food
items, sea foods, and disposable hygiene and catering materials and services
Our Mission:
To embrace sustainability through capacity building by conducting on-farm
demonstration training in modern agricultural practices with honest and
professional business practices
Our Suppliers:
We source our wide range of products from the best producers in the world such
as Canada, Brazil, Norway, Mozambique, Morocco, Belgium, Netherlands, U.A.E,
Turkey, Hong Kong and Thailand.
Flexibility:
Some of our suppliers have embraced a butter exchange system which we
especially adopted at the peak of the Global Economic Crisis of 2008-2009 to
counter the fluctuating forex rates yet increasing food prices. We provided the
latter; an idea that upheld us and our loyal suppliers solid throughout the
meltdown.
Partnerships:
To consolidate and further develop our achievements, we seek more:
