Heavy storm
It rained heavily last week. A strong
wind damaged the roof of Mrs Mok’s house.
The next morning, she noticed the damaged
on her roof. She showed the damaged to Mr
Mok.
Later, he used a ladder to climb up the
roof. He took along his toolbox, which
contained hammer, nails and other tools.
He used his tools to repair the roof.
Mrs Mok and her son watched from below.
They were worried and waited for Mr mok
until he came down from the roof. He was
happy to be able to fix the roof by himself.
Essay 5
Landslide in Kampung Tiara
Heavy rain caused a landslide in
Kampung Tiara last week. A small house near
a river collapsed. Parts of the house fell into
the river and were swept away.
Luckily, Encik Harun, his wife and son
managed to escape the house in time. They
were safe. People from nearby houses came
to help when they heard the house collapsing.
Encik Harun’s son was happy to be
alive, but Encik Harun’s wife cried bitterly at
their loss.
The family was taken in by a
neighbour. The neighbour said that they could
stay there until they found a new house.
Essay 6
Fruit Bazaar
Dear Rekha,
Shall we go for the fruit-sampling
event at the fruit bazaar this Saturday? It will
be in Hall A of the Segamat Community
Building.
I think you’ll like it. All the fruit there is
organic, so you know we will be getting fruit
of good quality. Not only will we get to sample
local fruits, we will also be sampling fruits
from all over the world.

Supermatket Incident
David went the supermarket with his
mother. She wanted to buy some groceries.
He took a bottle of ketchup for his mother.
While looking at the expiry date, the
bottle slipped from his hand and fell to the
floor. David was embarrassed and looked for a
cleaner.
His mother scolded him. Just then, a
supervisor came to them. He was kind and
told David not to worry. He said that he would
get a cleaner to clean up the mess.
