Requirement of Vibration Test Rig for Slack Adjuster

1. Slack Adjuster is subjected to 5 million cycles of vibration at

a frequency rate, as below:-

2. Amplitude of 3g value (2.5mm)

1 G is equal to the acceleration from gravity:

1G = 9.8 m/s2
So, 3G Value = 3*9.8 = 29.4 m/s2

3. The test rig should have computerised facility to record

and document the dates in respect of nos. cycles,
amplitude and frequency co-relating each parameter at
5 million cycles.
