I am looking for thoughtfulness and the best use of creativity. Always bring your unique point of view to each
project; take suggestions and feedback in order to grow in each assignment.
DUE DATES ARE TO BE ADHERED TO; NO UNFINISHED OR INCOMPLETE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED . IN
THE CASE OF EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES , A PERSONALIZED PLAN WILL BE DEVISED TO HELP COMPLETE
ASSIGNMENTS WITH MINIMUM PENALTY . NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE END
OF THE 9 WEEKS (REPORT CARDS ISSUED).
MAKE-UP WORK:
It is the responsibility of the student to find out missed assignments and make arrangements to make up the
work. All make-up work must be completed in an appropriate amount of time. Please email me if you are out
for several days.
HOMEWORK
There is homework for this class! If you do not finish your assignment in class, you will be expected to work on
it at home. All make-up work is to be completed outside of regular class time and/or as homework.
RULES:
Students will sit in assigned seats at all times.
If you need to go anywhere BESIDES the bathroom- WRITE A PASS AND I WILL SIGN IT. Your pass should
include your name, destination, and time. Longer than 10 minutes is skipping- if you are having an issue with that
please let me know.
Bathroom: Take the yellow pass to the restroom next to RM. 133 (our assigned bathroom). If you are found out of
your “zone”, you will be written up. You cannot leave the room the first and last 10 minutes of class- plan
accordingly.
The tardy policy for JHS will be enforced- after 4: referral
Talking is allowed during work time only at the discretion of the teacher.
Behavior that is a general disruption to the rest of the class is not permitted – students exhibiting such behavior
will be removed from class.
Students are expected to clean up the work area EVERYDAY.
CELL PHONES: You may listen to music on your phone WITH PERMISSION- nothing else!
COMMUNICATION:
Remind.com is an effective way for instructors to send course reminders and information to whole class, small group,
or individual via text messaging. All students must join and parents can choose to join to stay informed.
