Urgently Looking for a Good Samaritan

Location: Bangalore
Date: 11th January, probably whole day
Help Needed: Our local (Jamshedpur) taxi operator's one-year old grandson
needs to be taken to Nimhans for consultation for a development disorder.
He, his son, daughter-in-law and the baby will be at Nimhans on 11th
January at 11am for an OPD consultation. Am trying to arrange for a Hotel
accommodation close to Nimhans for them. Was hoping that someone who
knows Hindi and Kannada can be with them the whole day to help them
through the Hospital system, understand what the Doctors say/ advise,
interpret it for them and help them take a decision regarding immediate
course of action (whether they should stay on at Bangalore for a few more
days, for example)

Ravi Sinha UdayDamodaran wish they had instead opted for IHBAS (Institue
for Human Behaviour & Applied Sciences) the North Indian version of Nimhans
here in Delhi. Language would not have been a barrier. And for all issues
related to mental disorders the correct understanding becomes critical. My
daughter,Pallavi, opted for doing her Masters and thereafter residentship at
IHBAS over NIMHANS primarily due to language issue. She is now a locum
Consultant at IHBAS.

Uday Damodaran NIMHANS was his decision based on advise given
by some one like us. So he might even be open to IHBAS. Basically he
is in a very emotional state now.. and wants to act fast.... though no
particular specific plan. In fact they will be spending a substantial portion
of their savings on just the flight tickets.. they are planning to fly to
Bangalore
