Some measure to suggest for SWACHH BHARAT-SWASTH BHARAT
1. Make the country Open-Defecation Free (ODF). Construction of toilets in every tenement is a sine qua non. 2. Citizen awareness of swachhata and sanitation will take us a longway in regard to our pristine and pure environment. Outreach programmes may be conducted under the auspices of NSS,NCC, Boy and girl scouts, NGOs. 3. Encouragement to produce energy and manures using bio- wastages. 4. Plantation of more trees. Augmentation of forestry through social forestry with more community involvement. 5. Use on non-conventional and renewable sources of energy. Reduction in the use of fossil fuels. 6. Improved public transport system, encouragement of social pooling for transportation needs. 7. Abolition of plastic and use of littered plastic for laying roads. 8. Effective solid waste management and sewerage disposal system 9. Development of green technologies to reduce warming effects 10. Following the 4-R principle. Reduce-Reuse-Recycle- Replenish. 11. Rainwater harvesting, watershed programmes for conservation of water and to increase water table around the community. 12. Awareness for mental and physical health.
