Another objective of Nestle Company is to create an alignment of the staff behind a

Nestlé Nespresso is aware that customers may wish to be informed about


how their personally identifying data and information, such as name, address,
telephone/fax numbers or e-mail address etc (“Data”) that you may provide
to Nespresso, are treated.

According to Nespresso (2008) they have developed this Privacy Policy


(“Policy”) to explain their use of customer’s data as well as all our reasonable
precautions to keep the data confidential and secure. “By ordering Nestle
products and using their services, they are consenting to the Data collection
and use practices described in this Policy, as modified from time to time by
Nestle. Nestle also reserve the right to modify their Policy and invite the
customer to consult the Policy from time to time in order to familiarise
themselves with any changes, Nestle will post any new Policy on their
websites, changing the date in the last paragraph of such Policy.
The terms of this Policy are without prejudice to any contractual terms the
customer may enter into with Nestle, which shall prevail over the terms of this
Policy.”

“According to Pendrous (2015) Food Giant Nestle has suggested that


the huge amount of data collected by companies such as itself and regulatory
authorities like the Food Standards Agency (FSA) should be shared so that it
can be ‘mined’ for information about emerging food safety problems. Based
on the past experience, Nestle has handled a huge IT projects, having”
developed its ‘Project Globe’ to implement best practices based on installing
the SAP enterprise resource planning system as the standard platform in its
business around the world several years ago.

“In 2000, Nestle SA signed a $200 million contract with SAP to roll out
an ERP system. Nestle SA also committed to an additional $80 million to be
spent on consulting, maintenance and upgrades.” claimed (Worthen, 2002).
