‘HIGHLY IMMERSIVE PROGRAMME’

TAHUN 2018

Assalamualaikum and a very good morning to dedicated senior assistants,

teachers and pupils.

I am honoured to be here this morning at this meaningful and important

event that is the launching of the Highly Immersive Programme and English

Week. The Highly Immersive Programme (H.I.P) is a programme introduced

under the MBMMBI policy that will improve the English proficiency of pupils

through increased exposure in schools. The approach is to empower schools, by

the schools and for the schools. English Week is also apart of H.I.P programme.

Teachers and pupils,

There are a number of programmes run by the Education Ministry to

upgrade the level of English achievement and the level of proficiency among

users. Many schools in Malaysia are currently taking part in this Highly

Immersive Programme (H.I.P). This programme is meant to encourage the use of

English as a medium of communication beyond the classroom.

Teachers and pupils,

All of you must understand about H.I.P. This programme must involve all

the teachers, especially non-English teachers and the activities must encourage

the English usage. There are four types of activities, indoor, outdoor, whole

school and outreach. There will be a lot of upcoming programmes that we will

handle in the school. I hope that all of you can cooperate with so that we can

together enhance our English proficiency. I wish you all the best in successfully

implementing this programme.

On that note, I am pleased to declare the ‘Highly Immersive Programme

(HIP)’ and English Week are officially launched.

First of all, thank you to the Al-Mighty Allah S.W.T, because with his
blessings, we are here today for the launching of Highly Immersive Programme
and English Week Programme of SK Buluh Lima.

Now, let us pay attention to our headmaster, En. Md Daud bin Md Noor to
deliver his speech and the launching of the Highly Immersive Programme and
English Week Programme. Please welcome.

With the speech from En. Md Daud bin Md Noor just now, our Highly
Immersive Programme and English Week Programme are officially officiated.
We would like to invite En. Zulkifli bin Ahmad to accompany En. Md Daud bin
Md Noor to launch the programmes. Please welcome.
On 11th and 15th of April 2018, our school has sent 3 participants in Scrabble
and Story telling competition in SK Alor Melintang. Laila Khadijah bt Mohd
Faizul has been announced to be at the third place in story telling competition
meanwhile Nurul Izzah Jannah bt Khairul Anuar, Muhammad Aqil Hafiy bin
Muhammad Zahirudin dan Afiqah Syazwani bt Mohd Shawel has been
announced to be at the sixth place in scrabble competition.
Therefore, to appreciate their hard effort, I would like to welcome our
Headmaster, En. Md Daud bin Md Noor to give the present to them. Please
welcome.

For your information, today is the beginning of the Highly Immersive Programme
for our school. This program will be held throughout our school session. During
this programme, many activities will be held. We really hope that all of you will
gain a lot of benefits from the activities.

We have now come to the end of our ceremony for today. Before we end our
ceremony today, I would like to take this opportunity to appeal all of you to speak
English. With the concerted effort of both teachers and pupils, we are sure that
we can enrich the English speaking environment in our school area.
