Available of credit in colombia

The financial deepening in Colombia, measured as the relationship between the loan
portfolio and GDP has been growing dynamically in recent years to reach a level of 43.9%.

To give an approximate idea of the importance of the banking entities that grant credit to
SMEs within the total banking portfolio, the portfolio of the following banks that are important
both in the guarantees of the National Guarantee Fund and in the rediscount is added. of
SME loans with Bancóldex: Bancolombia, Banco de Bogotá, Banco de Occidente,
Davivienda, BBVA, Bancamía, Corpbanca, WWB and Banco Caja Social. The total portfolio

Type of credit products offered and conditions financial

The credit products offered to SMEs are ordinary, preferential or corporate credit and the
treasury credit. The first two are used, both for working capital and for investment
requirements. In ordinary credit, the interest rate is published daily by the banks. In the
preferential credit the client can agree a rate with the bank and the credit of treasury is given
to terms less than 30 days at market rates and is directed to treasury needs. Interest rates
are usually published by the Financial Superintendency as effective annual rates weighted
by the volume of the respective credit. The average weighted rates by credit modality
between 2014 and 2016 are shown in table 7 taken from Asobancaria.(Zuleta, 2016)
