LASA carried out detailed topographical and hydrological investigations, fixation of span arrangement and general arrangement of bridge, detailed subsoil investigation, environmental and social feasibility study and environmental impact assessment (EIA), preparation of detailed engineering design and drawings, cost estimation, preparation of specification and tender documents. Feasibility Study and Preparation of Detailed Project Report for Major Bridge Across River Mapusa Client : Economic Development Corporation, Government of Goa The length of the proposed bridge over Mapusa is 670 m with three span continuous structures having central navigational span of 70.0 meters (c/c of pier) with adjacent spans of 55.0 meters each. LASA was responsible for conducting detailed traffic survey, analysis and traffic forecast, selection of bridge alignment, topographical survey, EIA and SIA, economic and financial analysis, sub-soil investigation, hydrological investigation, hydraulic calculation, finalisation of GAD and structural scheme, detailed structural design, detailed design of barge impact structure, preparation of BOQ and cost estimation. Besides this bridge the project stretch has four major bridges, 10 minor bridges and several cross drainage works to be widened to 4 lanes on NH-8. The services rendered by LASA are supervision of contract conditions, monitoring resource planning, scheduling, coordination with client and contractor, quantity surveying and quality control.
