    1. Define the followings: (any three) (3 Marks)
    (i) Density
    (ii) Weight Density
    (iii) Specific Volume
    (iv) Specific Gravity
    2. Define Pressure and state its units of measurement. (2 Marks)
    3. (i) What is Bernoulli’s equation? Explain it. And also write its assumption. (5 Marks)
    (ii) Water is flowing through a pipe having diameters 30 cm and 20 cm at bottom and upper
    end, respectively. The intensity of pressure at the bottom end is 25 N/cm2 and at the upper end is
    10 N/cm2. Determine the difference in datum head if the rate of water flow is 40 lit/s.

    Explain the working of Pelton Wheel.

    4. What is Thermodynamics System also gives its examples. (3 Marks)


    5. Write the statements of 2nd law of thermodynamics- (3 Marks)
    (i) kelvin- planck Statement
    (ii) Clausius Statement
    6. A New Temp. Scale ºN is to be defined, the boiling and freezing points on this scale are
    100 ºN & 400 ºN respectively. What will be the reading on new scale corresponding to 60℃ ?
