The other two relevant contributions are:
TR45.5.3.1/98.11.17.46 from Lucent and
TR45.5.3.1/98.10.19.07 from Motorola.
Both of the new contributions were discussed.
It was agreed that we should use either Approach B of Motorola or Approach D of Lucent.
Lucent and Motorola will bring contributions to the Maui TR45.5.3.1 meeting and it was
agreed that the Approach (B or D) should be resolved at the meeting.
The Lucent and Motorola contributions will address performance and implementation
complexity issues including:
-The complexity of coming up from sleep and advancing the generators.
-Lucent will provide more information on Item 1, page 3 of their .../98.12.02.02
contribution under "The Lucent Proposal for RL Spreading."
Lucent said that the Q-code delay for Approach D is 1 chip.
Yu-Chen Jou of QUALCOMM expressed a preference for Approach D, but no other company
(other than Motorola and Lucent) wanted to express their preference at this time.
