Intended Use Policy  
The practice questions and sample exams are copyrighted by ISACA and are intended for use by ISACA chapters only. In 
addition, only the scrambled version of the exam items (without the suggested answers and explanations) and the CISA 
Sample Exam Scrambled Answer Key may be reproduced. No other files or portion of the CISA practice questions and 
sample exams may be reproduced in any form, without the written permission of ISACA.

Formats  
The practice questions are available in two formats:  
 Practice questions by domain with the questions, answers, explanations (QAE)     
 Practice questions scrambled with the questions, answers, explanations (QAE) 

Using the CISA Practice Questions 
 Review all of the CISA practice questions, suggested answers and explanations before presenting the material. 
 It is acceptable to read directly from the files, but please add your own personal experience and knowledge, 
where applicable. 
 Discuss each question and the suggested correct/incorrect answer with class participants. Invite class 
participation. 
 Compile discussion questions to facilitate sharing of ideas and retention of information.

Using the Sample Exams 
If your chapter presents the items as a “mock” exam, permission is provided to duplicate the question file (not the 
practice questions) and hand it out to class participants. To simulate the CISA exam, an answer sheet is provided that 
can also be duplicated and handed out. This “mock” exam is one‐half the size of the actual CISA exam. Provide the class 
with a minimum of two hours to complete the mock exam, and grade using the accompanying answer key.

The CISA practice questions and sample exams files can be downloaded from the Chapter Leader protected area of 
ISACA’s web site. If you need assistance accessing this area, please contact the Membership Department at
