COURSE TITLE: Grammar GRADE: 8th grade.

UNIT: My family SPECIFIC TOPIC: Verb to be

COMPETENCE: Describes himself using the verb to be through and add in a written activity.

RATIONALE: The verb to be is the most irregular verb in the English language. It is normally a linking verb
showing existence or the condition of the subject. It can also be used as an auxiliary verb when forming the
passive voice.

LESSON CONTENT: Verb to be in the affirmative, negative and question form.


Vocabulary: Adjectives (big, tall, short, small… )
INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES

a. Focusing event:
- Warm up: Teacher plays hangman and the students have to guess the hidden vocabulary

word. b. Teaching procedures

 Presentation: Using a video, poster, flashcards.. etc The teacher explains the topic

 Semi controlled practice: Ss have to complete the other half of the sentence

d. Student Participation: Teacher assesses the students through the whole class,
using their names in papers, so she can ask randomly to the Ss all the time.

e. Closure: Teacher play hot potato with the students, and asks questions
randomly

f. Feedback: Teacher asks questions to the students.

EVALUATION PROCEDURES: Students presents the add in front of the class.
