i. The field is hereby informed of the conduct of the Division Level Gulayan sa Paaralan Contest in
Coordination of the Danao City Agriculture’s Office from August 15, 2018 to May 15, 2019 for all Public
Elementary and Secondary Schools in the Division of Danao City.

In establishing a school garden, school heads may opt which garden models they want to develop in
their respective schools such as Container Gardening for schools with limited space, Edible Landscape
‘gardening that promotes the art of making a piece of ground attractive and useful and School Vegetable
Gardening that grows different kinds of vegetables in plots.
_Below are the Components of the Contest as basis for Evaluation.

Presentation of documents will be done prior to the actual on-site validation for each component.

DIVISION GULAYAN SA PAARALAN COMPETITION
1. There will be three categories in this competition namely:

».) Stand Alone Secondary Schools and
€.) Integrated Schools
2. This competition must be a component of the Brigada Eskwela activities
3. Eidible landscape gardening must be composed of the following plants:

a.1) Cucurbits Family
a.2) Solanaceous Family
a3) Brassicas/Crucifers Family
24)Root Vegetables
2.5) Legumes
2.6) Indigenous Vegetables
.) Hertal plams
¢.) Omamental plants
4. Container gardening rust wilized any form of containers such as pots, cans, empty
bottles, and etc., planted with different vegetable diversities.
5. School vegetable gardening growing of purely different kinds of vegetables in plots
assigned to pupils and students.
6. The evaluation will be on the following dates:
4.1) 1* Evaluation: August-September 2018
4.2)2™ Evaluation: November-December 2018
4.3)3” Evaluation: February-March 2019
7. The official declaration of the winners will be announced during the Launching of the
2019 Division Brigada Eskwela.
8. The deserving winners will receive prizes and certificates of recognition.
‘9. The prizes will only be used for the school improvement of school projects and
maintenance of the edible landscape garden.
