1. Attached is Advisory No. 130, s. 2018 informing the field that the DOST will celebrate
the National Science and Technology Week with the theme Science for the People: Innovation
for Collective Prosperity from July 17-21, 2018 at the Halls A-C, World Trade Center, Pasay
City, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 169, s. 2013 entitled Declaring the Third Week
of July as National Science and Technology Week.

NATIONAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WEEK
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will celebrate the National
Science and Technology Week (NSTW) with the theme Science for the People:
Innovation for Collective Prosperity from July 17 to 21, 2018 at the Halls A-C, World
‘Trade Center, Pasay City. This is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 169 s.
2013 entitled Declaring the Third Week of July as National Science and Technology
Week.
The annual NSTW aims to showcase the DOST-developed world-class
technologies, and the program and services offered by the Department. It also seeks to
gather industry experts, representatives from the government, agriculture,
‘communication and education sectors, and other stakeholders.
All public and private elementary and secondary schools nationwide are invited
to conduct Science fairs exhibiting results of exploratory /investigative Science projects
and inventions, Science/Math quizzes, Science boot camps and other Science,
‘Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities, among other activities
that would inspire students to pursue careers in Science and Technology.
