Information clause

According to art. 13 section 1 and section 2 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament
and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing
of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General
Data Protection Regulation) we inform that:

1. The controller of your personal data is the Mayor of Katowice with the headquarters in Katowice,
Młyńska 4 street, e-mail: urzad_miasta@katowice.eu.
2. The Mayor of Katowice has appointed a data protection officer, e-mail: iod@katowice.eu.
3. Your personal data will be processed in order to promote Katowice based on art. 7 section 1 point 18
of the Act of 8th March 1990 on commune self-government (Journal of Laws of 2017, item 1875, as
amended) on the basis of:
· consent given by you for the processing of data (art. 6 section 1 let. a) of the GDPR),
· the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested
in the controller (art. 6 section 1. let e) of the GDPR).
4. The recipients of your personal data will be:
- higher education institutions;
- contractors executing public contracts for the City of Katowice under agreements aimed at promoting
the City of Katowice;
- entities co-organizing with the City of Katowice events promoting the city.
5. Your personal data will be processed until your consent is revoked or for a period resulting from the
provisions regarding the office / archival instructions.
6. You have the right to access your personal data and the right to rectify, delete, limit processing, the
right to transfer data, the right to object to processing.
7. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of
processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
8. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority when you feel that processing
of personal data concerning you violates the provisions of the general Regulation (EE) 2016/679 of the
European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data in
accordance with art. 77.
9. The provision of your personal data is voluntary.
10. The personal data provided by you will not be used for automated decision making, including
profiling referred to in art. 22.
