And, we should be friendly - sangamemahi. ‘Sat— 1am — means that we should neither be afraid of death, nor should we instill the fear of death into another. We should live and help others live. Chit— 1 am— means that we do not remain ignorant, and we do not let others remain ignorant. We attain knowledge, and we spread knowledge. We are Ananda swaroopa (the essence of bliss). We should not make others unhappy; we should not be unhappy; make others happy and be happy. The command of the Veda Bhagwan is so affectionate and beneficial: sangamemahi... The meaning is, ‘Let us walk in step and talk in tune; and not create disharmony.’ As long as you hold the same opinion, get along harmoniously. When your opinion differs from that of the other, remember that he has as much right to his opinion as you have to yours. So you should proceed according to your opinion, and let him do what he thinks is right. The thought that all should do as you say, is a narrow and dirty outlook. If you ever see faults in someone, develop tolerance to it, and wish good of him, do good to him within your cap: ‘We should love all, offer loving service to all, oblige everybody, and walk in harmony with those around us. We should walk happily on the path of that which is auspicious; with new enthusiasm and efficiency, spreading happiness as we go. We can spread joy only if we are joyful. How can we gladden the hearts of others if our mind is filled with gloom? Hence, we should remain equanimous and cheerful in all conditions.
