9. FIGURE MATRIX

In this type of questions, more than one set of figures is given in the form of a matrix, all of
t h e m following the same rule. The candidate is required to analyse the complete sets; find
out the c o m m o n rule and then on its basis, find the missing figure in the incomplete set.

Example 1 ; Select one alternative figure out of (a), (b), (c) and (d), which completes
the given matrix.

Solution : Clearly, in the first and second rows, the second figure is the inner part of the
first figure and the third figure is the inner part of the second figure.
Thus, the missing figure should be the inner pari of the second figure in third
row. i.e. a small circle.
