ATTENDANCE: Coming to class is not optional if you expect to pass. If there is homework due or a quiz on a
day when you are absent, you will get a zero. The only exception is a legitimate excuse from a doctor.

PUNCTUALITY: Please make an effort to get to class on time. I start my classes on time. I don’t let anyone in
after the 15 minute mark.

GRADES: Each term, 50% of your grade will be based on quizzes (written, oral, listening), homework, and in-
class workshops. The other 50% of your grade will be the exam.

There will be 3 exams during the semester. I will let you know the dates well ahead of time.

There will also be a PROJECT. You will select your own groups for this activity. The topics of the project will be
determined by the teacher and told to you as soon as possible. You will be expected to work on this project
throughout the semester. Most of the work will be done outside of class. At the end of the semester, you will
present your project to your teacher and classmates ORALLY. The presentation of your project will count for
25% of your third term grade.

You will be learning 10 different topics this semester. Some of these will be included in the book, others will
not. Each topic has one or more grammar tenses or structures that we will be studying in class. Additionally,
you will be expected to learn and study vocabulary in each unit of the material. Vocabulary will also be included
in the exam.
