    SUBJECT: LABORATORY DESIGNS


    I. TEACHER DIRECTED EXPERIMENT (TD)

    Description: The teacher is the one who determines appropriate experiment


    needed to acquire significant skills in science.

    Purpose: To maximize learned concepts and principles in science through


    actual laboratory work.

    II. STUDENT DIRECTED EXPERIMENT (TD)

    Description: The student is the one who selects/researches previous experiments and
    perform it in an innovative manner.

    It is equivalent to performance of two (2 ) TD’s.

    The student will defend her proposal for final approval or defend her
    experimental result.

    Purpose: To perform innovative experiment of her choice, which will jive with the current
    lesson.

    III. ACTIVITY (A)

    Description: It serves as an enrichment of the topic discussed in the


    classroom.

    Purpose: It is used for motivation and enrichment.
