Assessment Calendar

2018-2019
Teachers are expected to use a variety of informal and formal assessments to guide their
classroom instruction. The following assessments are used at each grade level:

* Specific information regarding Local Alternative Assessments will be communicated by the

RCPS Content Supervisors. Please note: Division-Wide Performance Based Assessments must
be given by January 11, 2019.

**PALS (4-5) screening is for students in grades 4-5 who are reading below grade level.

Teachers in grade 3, 4, & 5 will use Interactive Achievement for the benchmark tests.
Assessment information is kept by the classroom teacher and the principal. Classroom teachers
should submit the latest assessment information on their students to the principal. The reading
specialist and special education teacher should also have this info shared with them. It is strongly
encouraged that you disaggregate this data to drive your instruction and provide remediation to
students with deficits.
