Operation of the Device

The device is powered by a 9-volt power supply and controlled by an Arduino Uno microprocessor. The
microprocessor has booted a given instruction via simple C++ coding through Arduino application. The
instruction given to the microprocessor controls are the timer, the indicator LEDs and also the output AC
connection via simple relay circuit.

The device can hold up to three 225-Volt AC appliances. The AC output is switched on or off by the relay
system. The relay system depends on the PIN8 output terminal on the Arduino Uno Microprocessor. The
pin8 output terminal is systematized by a timer instruction code. Whenever LDR sensors are triggered the
Pin8 output terminal automatically triggers the relay and turns on the AC output.
