Ladydust Heads for Hollywood!

With the ease of a chameleon, Ladydust leaps from the seventh art to the world of modeling and back to the
music console and the web as a radio producer. She describes herself as a “music narrator”.

WHAT MAKES MARINA RUN…

Marina studied French literature, drums & music theory.
She adores poetry and writes as well.
She’s has produced the music for the fashion shows of Daphne Valente (chairwoman of Greek fashion
designers at Zappeio Megaro) for the previous years ,has represented Greece in the photography course for
World Peace and has been a muse of international artists like Demosthenes Davvetas; doctor of Aesthetics
at the University Paris 8, France,Seth Siro Anton,etc.
Has also starred in campaigns like Cadbury chocolate,Prestige Cosmetics,Assos cigarettes etc,through a

Actually,her music career ,it kick started when she started touring her country as a dj.
Until today she has appeared as guest in more than 15 big cities in Greece and abroad. In big festivals
,concerning ‘indie rock scene‘ as well,which she successfully organizes herself-sometimes.Her sets are
titled: “The Art Of Modern Rock” and have become quite popular.
Prior,she was the resident DJ at Hard Rock Café and the Booze Cooperativa. The Booze Cooperative is a
well known, creative multi-art foundation in the centre of Athens.
The idea of opening new paths,though, seemed by far more charming, risky, and adventurous to her.
She’s one of the breakout female disc jockeys in the world. touring and supporting new bands
internationally and helps expanding the rock ‘n’ roll philosophy.
She’s also one of the few DJ’s in Europe who is sponsored by major North American companies such
as Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey.
Ladydust is also known for her former radio broadcasts hosted every Friday night on Athens’ “Red” 105,5
FM. The radio show focused on an international indie rock repertoire promoting mainly new and unsigned
bands. The playlists are compiled with a ‘multinational’ gusto from the
rock n’roll galaxy all over the world. Talking about alternative scene, brit pop, garage punk, hard rock,
psychedelic, noise, shoegaze, manchester, electronic scene, classic rock, krautrock, desert rock, film
soundtracks, music from the 60’s 70’s 80’s,90’s & so, many more categories. As mentioned, there’s a
special preference to bands, coming from independent record companies, and also, very “fresh” releases.
The info of the broadcasts comes from an variety of sources and a really extensive research. Ladydust has
also invited at the studio numerous times, musicians, songwriters, artists, and other important figures from
the music industry which she interviews live.(like:’Tim Warren’ -Crypt records etc) The broadcast was
entitled:’ Tales from Planet Ladydust’.and continues on: www.ladydust.com.
Talking about her first ‘acting’ breakthrough,it came with the ANT-1 TV2008-09 season of series “Key to
Paradise”, next to popular comedian Spyros Papadopoulos. In 2009 she starred in two stage plays:
“Democracy in the Eye of Lyngea” at the Metaxourgio theater. The play was directed by N. Katis. The
second play “‘Travel Abyss’” by Fernando Pessoa was performed at the theater Radio City in
Thessaloniki,and she starred next to G.Valtinos.It was directed by M. Geddes.She also played in the movie:
“Ladykiller”, produced by J. Koutsomitis and guest starred a few months ago in “Portable Life” starring
Rutger Hauer of “Blade Runner”, directed by Fleur Boonman.Finally she starred during 2010,in ‘Saita’
movie, directed by J.Christodoulou,which was chosen among top 15,in Greek Los Angeles film festival.

THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME…

Her life plan includes expanding’ the ‘avatar’ of Ladydust in other industries such as comics, animation,
music compilations and more. The Ladydust brand’ is already popular; her my space profile has hundreds
of thousands of users. Her website: www.ladydust.com is extremely popular as well.
Marina is in negotiations for a music TV documentary with Net (National Greek Broadcaster)
and continues her acting carreer.tAlso continues performing her ‘art of modern rock’ DJ sets.
Her next stop is Hollywood.
