Rotary Gas Flowmeter Proficiency Testing Program

Proficiency Testing Australia (PTA) is pleased to announce that the Rotary Gas Flowmeter Proficiency Testing Program
is progressing successfully, which was launched in early 2017. Four laboratories from Australia and New Zealand
already completed their testings. It is estimated that this program will be completed by the end of November 2017.

Designed to meet the needs of industry and research laboratories, this

program follows the success of our Digital Multimeter and Temperature
Measurement programs.

The program was developed following suggestions from industry and our
goal is to offer a valuable and customer focused proficiency testing service.
One Instromet rotary gas flow meter will be provided. The tests will be flow
rate, absolute pressure, temperature, relative humidity, pressure loss across
inlet/outlet of meter and % Error.

PTA programs have been used by laboratories to satisfy accreditation

requirements, educate staff, verify methods and procedures, enhance
accuracy, demonstrate competence, assess performance, compare with
peers, monitor analysis, identify problems and improve testing.

Registration for participation in the Rotary Gas Flowmeter Proficiency

Testing Program is still open.
