SCHOOL ART MOVEMENTS

Last year, there are a cultural competition between school in kupang city. Started
from elemtary school until senior high school. The competition included traditional
danced and played traditional instrument which held in Taman Budaya.

My friends and I were represented our school to followed the competition. We

showed a traditional dance from sabu that is “menyadap nira”. We prepared our self
about a month. We have two coaches who teach us the dance and how to play
instrumentals. Beside that we prepared the property too. A day before the competition we
followed the rehearsal. We went at 4 pm until 7 pm. The rehearsal went good. After that
I came back home. In the next day we gathered at school. We prepared our self started
from our clothes, the property, and we practiced before went to the competition. The
competition started at 4 pm. The first is the traditional instrument competition. There are
so many instrument was play by representative of each school. We were the first group
to dance for the junior high school. We enjoyed our performance.

I felt so happy to representated our school. And we so proud because beside we

got an experience we were awarded as runner up. This experience is one of the best
experience that I ever had.
