PROCLAMATION

RECOGNIZING LIEUTENANT GRAHAM RUMMEL


FOR 42 YEARS OF POLICE SERVICE

WHERAS, Lieutenant Graham Rummel was raised in Algonac/Clay Michigan and is a


life time resident. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 – 1970 and
served in Vietnam; and

WHERAS, in his 42 years of police service he served as a Patrolman, Corporal, Sergeant,


Detective and Lieutenant and was second in command of the Clay Township Police
Department, and his 42 years of continuous service becomes the longest serving member
of the Department; and

WHERAS, during his extensive career he resolved many high profile cases. He has used
his knowledge, personality and experience in keeping the citizens of this community safe
and alive; and

WHERAS, He has had a long and fulfilling career and has felt it to be an honor in serving
the community. He has earned the respect of his law enforcement peers, officials and the
citizens; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, that the St. Clair County Board of


Commissioners does hereby adopt this proclamation extending our deep appreciation to
Graham Rummel for his dedication to duty for 42 years.
