Subject: Request for a Winter Project in December 2017.

The purpose of this letter is to express my interest of working as a Research Assistant under your
guidance for winter break 2017 for a period of 4-5 weeks (Dec-Jan). It would be an incredible opportunity
for me to perform research, and would be an invaluable component of my education.

I am Mohshin Khan, currently in 2nd year (3th semester), pursuing Civil Engineering at National
Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu. I have a decent academic record with my CGPA
as 8.63/10. I was immediately drawn into your research profile and would like to work as a winter intern
under your guidance during Dec-Jan 2017.

I have been working on many small Technical projects relating to automation of stuffs (namely IOTs) and
have knowledge on microcontrollers. I have attended a workshop on IoT conducted by E-Cell, IIT
Bombay. This has paved me to develop an extreme interest in the subject of Intelligent Transportation
System. I want to learn about the subject and try to solve the problems that the world is facing today in
this field.

I assure you my full commitment and hard-work, if given a chance to work under your able guidance. I am
willing to do any detailed study of any subject, the project demands.
